中文摘要

本研究旨在探討南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員學習需求與滿意度,研究的目的有五:(一) 瞭解南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程的現況。(二) 剖析南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員學習需求的取向。(三) 分析南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員學習滿意度之情形。(四) 探討不同背景變項之南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員的學習需求、學習滿意度之差異情形。(五) 將研究結果提出建議,以供全國社區大學之參考。

 

本研究採問卷調查法,以南投縣社區大學學員為對象,共發出問卷各800份,回收的有效問卷共607份,平均回收率達75.9%。所得資料以項目分析、平均數、標準差、次數分配、百分比﹑單因子變異數分析、薛費事後比較、皮爾遜積差相關等統計方法加以處理。

 

依據本研究分析的發現,歸納結論如下:

  1. 南投縣社大生活藝能課程參與的學員特性和他縣市社區大學的統計類似。
  2. 南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員的學習需求取向普遍為高,其中以「認知興趣學習取向」向度的認同度最高。
  3. 南投縣社區大學生活藝能課程學員的學習滿意度評價頗高,其中以「教師教學」為最高。
  4. 學員學習需求會因年齡、學歷、職業、工作經驗、月收入、婚姻狀況、分校、期數等背景變項而有所差異。
  5. 學員學習滿意度會因年齡、學歷、不同分校等背景變項而有所差異
  6. 學員學習需求與學習滿意度有高度相關。

 

依據研究結論,提出建議如下:

  1. 對我國社區大學行政主管機關的建議:(一)我國社區大學行政主管機關應對各縣市社區大學訂定的相關輔導機制。(二)社區大學的發展其課程架構要因應潮流做適度的修正。(三) 社區大學行政主管機關應訂定鼓勵高齡者參與社大學習的輔導措施。
  2.  對全國各社區大學的建議:(一)行政體系方面,應透過各種管道向主管機關請求爭取經費補助、建構參與社大服務志工的管道、強化選課機制的設計、重視優質課程的行銷、建構優質教學環境。(二)社區大學生活藝能課程設計與課程內容方面,課程規劃要符合學員學習需求,且彈性及多元、課程內容要融入地方特色、建立完善的學習輔導諮詢中心,強化選課輔導。(三)社區大學生活藝能課程教師教學方面,加強社區大學生活藝能師資的評鑑,增進教師專業知能、落實課程教學內涵,強化教師教學效能與專業能力。
  3. 對參與社區大學生活藝能課程學員的建議:(一)了解自己的學習需求,嘗試多元的學習。(二)體認終身學習的重要性,並能主動參與學習。
  4. 對後續研究者的建議:(一)研究對象方面,可擴大到社區大學的教師、行政人員、行政主管機關。(二)研究範圍方面,可擴大到全國的所有社區大學將較具有其代表性。(三)研究方法方面,可加入觀察記錄、深度訪談等質性研究方法蒐集資料。

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to investigate Nantou Community College students’ learning needs and satisfaction in the courses “Art and Life Courses.” There are five objectives of the research: 1. To investigate the current situation of the courses. 2. To analyze students’ needs for the courses. 3. To analyze students’ level of learning satisfaction for the courses. 4. To investigate variables of students’ learning needs in the courses. 5. To use the results of the study as a reference for the nation’s community colleges.

The main instrument used in this course is questionnaires. Questionnaires are given out to students in Nantou Community College. 800 questionnaires are sent out, in which 607 of them are valid. The retrieving rate is 75.9%. The data obtained from the survey was processed with statistical methods such as mean, sigma, frequency distribution, percentage, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method distribution.

The results of the study are as following .

  1. The characteristics of the students’ participation in the Nantou County’s “Art and Life Courses” are similar to those of any other county.
  2. Students’ evaluation of learning needs with “Art and Life courses” are generally high. Of all those learning needs , cognitive learning need is of the highest.
  3. Students’ learning satisfaction with “Art and Life courses” are generally high. They are especially satisfied with the “instructors’ teaching.”
  4. Learning needs vary from age, level of education, profession, work experience, monthly income, marriage status, branch school and class.
  5. Students’ level of learning satisfaction vary from age, education and branch school.
  6. Students’ learning needs are highly correlated with levels of satisfaction.

According to the results of the study, the researcher offers following recommendations. Suggestions for the community university administration :

(1)The central government should enact relative rules and set up mechanism of guidance and counseling for community colleges.

(2)The curriculums developed by community colleges must be revised in accordance with mainstream culture.

(3)The administration should take measures to encourage the old age people to take part in the learning provided by the community college.

2. Suggestions for community colleges in Taiwan:

 (1) Officials in colleges must find every way to get funding and to get volunteers involved in community college affairs.

 (2)Regarding to the courses “Art and Life courses”, the curriculum design must fit students’ learning needs, and possess flexibility and diversity. The curriculum also has to integrate provinciality. School officials also have to construct counseling centers to solidify counseling for electing courses.

 (3) Regarding to the faculty, the school must consolidate assessments for faculty teaching Art and Life courses, boost faculty’s specialty and competency, implement the objectives of courses.

3. Suggestions for students who take the Art and Life courses:

(1). Understand one’s learning needs and try different learning strategies.

(2)Understand the importance of life-long learning and take part in it actively.

4. Suggestions for other researchers:

 (1)They can expand their research participants to faculty in community colleges, administrative personnel and administrators.

 (2)They can expand the research scope to community colleges in Taiwan.

 (3)They can implement qualitative research methods such as observation or in-depth interview to their methods of data collection.
